Reveries for Wind Ensemble

Reveries for Wind EnsembleReveries for Wind Ensemble, titled after the manner in which the music flows through moods as if in a daydream, was composed in the spring of 2012 under the mentorship of Dr. Frank Ticheli. The work introduces melodic fragments in various guises before launching into middle section based on a 5/4 groove, and concludes with a brass chorale that assembles the earlier fragmented ideas into a longer form. Premiered on May 23rd, 2012 by the Mercer Island High School Wind Ensemble, Reveries was later recorded by the USC Thornton Wind Ensemble as a part of their “New Music for Wind Ensemble” series on October 1st, 2012.
